About Greg and Elaine Fedchak

Based in Boonville, New York, Greg and Elaine Fedchak have had a sheep farm and are avid gardeners who enjoy the fiber arts and support the Remington Art Museum in Ogdensburg. Greg Fedchak is also an author and abstract painter, and maintains the publishing company “Night Tree Press,” which has earned Small Press Association recognition. Having had numerous short stories published, his paintings have been selected for exhibition in juried shows and received multiple awards.

Utilizing wool from sheep that she and her husband raise, Elaine Fedchak is a longtime knitter and spinner who maintains membership in a local spinning guild. In the professional realm, she specializes in information assurance analysis with SRC, Inc., in Syracuse. She has also worked as a programmer and analyst with the IIT Research Institute and has been a featured speaker at institute conferences.

A St. Lawrence University graduate, Greg Fedchak’s background extends to serving as a Korean linguist with the National Security Agency (NSA) from 1980 to 1983. During this time his wife, also a graduate of St. Lawrence University, worked for the NSA as a cryptanalyst, with a focus on cryptologic mathematics.
